ABSTRACT: The role of early childhood education in fostering cultural diversity awareness is critical for promoting tolerance and understanding in multicultural societies. This study aimed to evaluate how early childhood education programs influence children's awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity. The objectives were to (1) assess improvements in children's cultural knowledge and respect for diversity, (2) evaluate the integration of cultural diversity activities in the curriculum, and (3) examine changes in children's attitudes towards cultural differences. A survey design was employed to gather comprehensive data from participants, providing a broad assessment of the topic. A purposive sample of 110 children aged 4-6 years, engaged in cultural diversity education programs, was selected to ensure relevant experiences. The case study focused on an early childhood education center in Cross River State, known for its multicultural environment and cultural diversity initiatives. Findings indicated significant improvements in children's cultural knowledge and respect for diversity, the effectiveness of cultural diversity activities, and positive changes in attitudes towards cultural differences. The study recommended integrating cultural diversity education into early childhood curricula and providing training for educators to effectively promote cultural awareness and acceptance.
